Alan Power faces no further action after the SFA reviewed the Kilmarnock midfielder's tackle on Rangers star Ryan Jack .

Referee Alan Muir showed a yellow card following the incident in the 0-0 Scottish Cup draw, where Power caught Jack in the face with a high boot.

Power's challenge appeared to split opinion in the Rangers dressing room with Andy Halliday adamant it was a straight-red offence although Scott Arfield argued that there was no malice in the challenge.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard stated after the game he would be “interested to see if there is a citing”.

SFA compliance officer Clare Whyte has now looked at the footage again and has decided no further action is required.

Power faced the prospect of missing the Premiership clash with Celtic on Sunday and the cup replay against Rangers on Wednesday, but – barring injury – he will now be available for both games.
