Billy Gilmour's monumental month at Chelsea has hit another high after the Scotland U21 star was handed a brand new contract by the Stamford Bridge giants.

The 18-year-old, who swapped Rangers' youth set-up for Chelsea two years ago, has flourished under Frank Lampard's guidance this season.

A delighted Gilmour said: "It’s really exciting for me and my family to sign this four-year deal with the club.

Gilmour made his Premier League debut 12 days ago when he came on as a second half substitute for Tammy Abraham against Sheffield United.

He joins Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Reece James, Jamie Cumming, Marc Guehi and George McEachran on the list.

He followed that with a call-up to Lampard's Champions League squad.

And now Gilmour has topped a fabulous fortnight by penning a new deal until the summer of 2023.
