Rising Scottish star Billy Gilmour has been included in Chelsea’s squad for this season’s Champions League.

Now 18 years of age, Gilmour signed for Chelsea in July 2017.

Lampard rates the Scotland Under-21 international and has included him on his B list for Europe’s premier club tournament.

The following summer he signed a professional contract with the Stamford Bridge side.

And Gilmour could now make his second breakthrough of the campaign with a Champions League bow.

The B list is for players who have been eligible to play for a club for an uninterrupted period of two years since their 15th birthday.

The former Rangers midfielder’s ascent continues just one week after making his debut for Frank Lampard’s side in the 2-2 draw with Sheffield United in the Premier League.
