Brendan Rodgers was full of praise for Callum McGregor as the midfielder put in an "incredible" performance in Celtic's 5-1 win against Kilmarnock.

Rodgers said: "Callum McGregor [was] just incredible.

The manager had no shortage of superlatives for his midfield but singled out McGregor for his display in a holding position.

However, it wasn't just McGregor who was singled out as Rodgers highlighted the impact of Ryan Christie, James Forrest and Emilio Izaguirre in a win that sees them return to the top of the Premiership.

"I think his (James Forrest) positioning to try and get into even more areas to score, I think his first goal was demonstration of that.

His ball retention ability and touch and awareness to allow the speed of the game to continue."

They want to win every game and every competition.
