Dominic Ball has insisted his only regret from his time at Aberdeen was that he never walked away with a winner’s medal.

The midfielder had two successful loan spells before he knocked back a permanent move to Pittodrie in the summer to team up with Mark Warburton again at QPR.

The Englishman in his first campaign helped the Dons finish second in the Premiership and last season took them to the League Cup Final, where they lost to Celtic and a Ryan Christie goal, then back into the Europa League.

“QPR is also a great club and Mark Warburton is a manager I know well.

“We had Scott McKenna and Mikey Devlin in the Scotland squad and Joe Lewis.

“It not only gave me the opportunity to play at a great club like Aberdeen but gave me some other great opportunities this summer.” Ball has claimed he probably would have stayed at Aberdeen if Warburton and Loftus Road hadn’t come calling.

“That was a big night then also the League Cup Final.
