Rangers captain James Tavernier admits he was embarrassed with the display in the second half which saw them lose a lead to Kilmarnock and lose more ground on Celtic in the title race.

Rangers led 1-0 at half time, but were beaten 2-1 by Killie after losing their dominance in the second half.

Rangers skipper Tavernier admits it wasn't good enough as they now sit 10 points behind rivals Celtic.

"I've been with this team long enough to know we've been in situations and we've handled it but not tonight and it's very disappointing to let all the fans see that tonight."

"We're trying to go all the way to the end and compete for this title but tonight we didn't see the hunger enough to see off the game."

"We've been conceding bad goals, it's as simple as that. We know we're going to create chances. We missed opportunities tonight but at the end of the day, us as a team need to keep the ball out of the back of the net."

It's two seasons in a row where we've had a slow start after the break.
