GARY McALLISTER wants to see a reaction from Rangers against a Dundee side who have impressed him despite their lack of points so far.

McAllister expects Jim McIntyre’s men to be buoyant, and told today’s press conference: “They are off the back of a good result, and with a Kenny Miller hat-trick as well so he will be up for the game.

I think there are some good players at Dundee and it will be a good test for us.

“But we are obviously looking for a reaction after the Aberdeen result.” The Aberdeen result came as a major shock to in-form Gers, with McAllister also surprised at what the Light Blues showed against the Dons at Ibrox.

The Dees grabbed just their second win of the season on Wednesday night with a 4-0 demolition of Hamilton Accies, while Gers fell to a disappointing 1-0 home loss to Aberdeen.

“For as much as it was a disappointing result and it has taken a couple of days to get it out the system, I think the players and all the management staff would like to see a better performance.

“Yes, Joe Lewis made a few good saves, but overall, it was a poor performance.” McAllister also gave an injury update ahead of the weekend, adding: “Borna Barisic and Ryan Kent are back in contention, so that is a big boost for the guys.”
