The Daily Record has reported that Rangers have been linked with another striker, this time from Belgium as 21-year old Nigerian, Terem Moffi, opens up on his future.

Moffi is the latest in a now long list of names said to be attracting the attention of Steven Gerrard and Ross Wilson as the Gers recruitment team eye up reinforcements for the forward line.

The article claims that there is interest in the forward from Rennes, Lorient and Galatasaray having only signed for KV Kortrijk for £150,000 from Lithuanian side Riteria during the winter transfer window.

Rated at just over £1million by Transfermarkt and standing over 6ft 2 inches tall, Moffi has a physical presence that is been missing from the Gers attack when Alfredo Morelos isn’t available, he also fired 24 goals last season between his two clubs.

He has made an impressive start to his career in the Belgian top flight and with four goals in seven appearances, he has shown that he has more than adapted to the increase in standard, despite a limited number of games, Rangers could be looking to get in early with the player’s career on an upward trajectory, however, he may have his sights set higher than the Scottish Premiership.

Speaking about his move to the Jupiler Pro League, Moffi said:

“I could have gone to Sweden, Norway or Israel.

“But I chose Belgium, because this way I can get to the big leagues more quickly.

“Where would I like to go? France or Spain, we’ll see…”

It’s not a great look for a player when they are already planning their next move having only played nine times for their new club, however, with Europa League football and a fervent 50,000 strong home support, Gerrard could yet tempt him into holding off on a move to one of the continent’s top leagues for now and provide the much needed back-up to Morelos and Jermain Defoe.
