Hibs midfielder Greg Docherty may be the only player at the club who is disappointed the Premiership’s Saturday-Wednesday schedule is on hold for a couple of weeks.

The on-loan Rangers midfielder insists he wants all the action he can get to make up for lost time.

“I’m really enjoying it, playing football again, under the lights.

Docherty made his third appearance since joining the Hibees on deadline day against Ross County on Wednesday, turning in a man-of-the-match display as they cruised to a 3-0 win at Easter Road.

I’ve come here but I have to fight for my place.

Docherty said: “There’s a lot of quality in that area.

But his Hibs team-mates now get a bit of respite after a hectic run of eight games since the season restarted in mid-January.
