Jackie McNamara believes Rangers’ Scott Arfield has had his game exposed following his recent performance.

He told Football Insider: “I think he only does well in wee bits, in the little pockets, he gets into little areas and the inside channel.



However, Rangers News felt the 30-year-old did cause Celtic problems, although they admitted it was more in defensive terms rather than when the Light Blues were going forward.

“They obviously thought they could hurt Celtic in that position but they didn’t get that service there or that composure into him because Celtic caused him problems.

The Light Blues were on the wrong end of a 2-0 Old Firm derby defeat to Celtic prior to the international break and the ex-player-turned-pundit has revealed he feels the Canadian had struggled throughout the game.

Arfield has already made 56 appearances for Rangers, having scored 14 goals and provided eight assists (Transfermarkt), with ten of those matches having already come for the Light Blues this season.
