It's reported in Italy that Rangers may not sign Ianis Hagi outright at the end of his loan deal from Genk, potentially opening the door for Lazio.

The midfielder joined Steven Gerrard 's side in January, with an option to buy included in the deal.

He's quickly become a fan favourite at Ibrox, and Rangers have the first option to sign him.

According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport though Gerrard has already decided that he doesn't want Hagi as part of his squad for next season.

The 21-year-old has previously been linked with a move to Lazio and the newspaper believes he could be available for €5-6million.

Hagi's future at Rangers is likely to be in doubt anyway as his loan deal is set to expire on June 30.

If football has not resumed following the coronavirus shutdown the Ibrox club would have to either buy him outright, let him go back to Genk or try to arrange an extension to the loan.
