Kenny Miller has revealed why he decided to join Celtic from Wolves in 2006 after impressing at Ibrox five years previously.

The 39-year-old spent just over a year at the club from 2000 until 2001 before spending five years at Wolves, and then joining Celtic on a free transfer.

"I had been away from Rangers for five years at that point."

"I felt going to Celtic at that time and playing in the Champions League."

Miller went on to rejoin the Gers in 2008 and leave again in 2011, before his latest spell between 2014 and 2018.

The former Derby striker was part of the last Rangers team to win a league title in 2011, and recently admitted his sadness after leaving in acrimonious circumstances last year.

"Miller told talkSPORT:"Everybody knows what my feelings are for that club, and to represent them over 300 times over the course of eight years and then leave the way I had to leave.
