Out of contract players could be set to stay with their clubs beyond the expiry of their deals, according to a leaked FIFA document.

Now though Reuters has seen a leaked FIFA document that recommends current contracts for players and coaches should be extended until the end of the delayed domestic soccer seasons.

However, FIFA could now step in to ensure that they remain until the current season can be completed.

While UEFA had planned to complete domestic seasons by the end of June 30, the end of most player contracts, that looks increasingly unlikely.

It's also possible that the season could be declared completed before June 30, to avoid potenial issues with contracts.

The confidential document also recommends allowing transfer windows to be changed in accordance with new season dates and urges clubs and players to work together to find solutions to salary payments during stoppages.

At Rangers Jon Flanagan, Andy Halliday and Wes Foderingham would be out of contract in July.
