Our top team discuss Joe Hart, Alfredo Morelos and Neil Doncaster

Would Joe Hart be a good fit for Celtic?

Keith Jackson: First and foremost Celtic will want to bring Fraser Forster back across the border for next season but if the Geordie has other ideas then, absolutely, Hart would seem like an excellent option. At 33 he has plenty of good years ahead.

Gary Ralston: I’m always wary of phrases around players such as ‘looking to re-ignite his career’. He has played a handful of games in the last 18 months and would cost a fortune. Celtic can get better value elsewhere if they can’t keep Forster.

Craig Swan: Hart would not be as good a fit as Craig Gordon. If Forster cannot be snared, the Scotland keeper should be retained.

Fraser Wilson: Not for me. Hart was a top-class keeper in his day but unlike Forster his form is on a downward trajectory and it would be hard to argue he would be worth the money required to lure ?him north.

KJ: It's the same old conundrum where this player is concerned. A fully fit and firing Alfredo Morelos is a huge asset but too often his bad attitude makes him a liability. If Rangers are offered top dollar they should cash in. But that’s far from certain.

GR: He couldn’t stop eight or nine, so why should Rangers be confident he could stop 10? On fire, there’s no more complete striker in the Scottish game than Morelos but he has proved himself too flaky. Gerrard should sell and reinvest in players he can trust.

CS: Depends which Morelos is available to the manager. If it’s the rampaging goal-getter who was brilliant during the first half of last term, then yes. If it’s the one who came back from Dubai, then no.

FW: Rangers would have to work a minor miracle to replace Morelos’ goals if he was to depart Ibrox. They need to do all they can to hold onto their talisman.

Is Neil Doncaster guilt of conflict of interest by offering SPFL legal adviser to clubs wishing to back the league against Hearts and Partick Thistle this week?

KJ: Not as far as I can make out. The gun-to-the-head strategy being adopted by Hearts and Thistle seems increasingly bizarre and has infuriated clubs all over the country.

GR: The timing and content of his letter to member clubs is so dubious and distasteful. Why was it sent? Do the SPFL need other clubs to bankroll their legal defence? Are they running scared? Looking for safety in numbers? They might be on the ropes on this one.

CS: It's hard to know what to think with all these things at the moment. We can’t wait for court battles and statements to be replaced by games and goals.

FW: I’m no legal expert but it doesn’t look good and has certainly fanned the flames of an increasingly bitter dispute.

Wimbledon is cancelled but who would have been your tips for the mens’ and women’ title?

KJ: Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams. But it will be fascinating to see what shape the big hitters will be in at the US Open in August. This pandemic may prove a leveller, especially where Andy Murray’s comeback is concerned.

GR: Outside the men’s big three, Daniil Medvedev enjoyed a breakthrough year. He’d have been one to watch. The women? Former cricketer Ash Barty would surely have gone better than her fourth round exit at SW19 last time out.

CS: Murray and Jo Konta. Probably zero chance it would have happened but it would have been nice to imagine a couple of home winners.

FW: Unfortunately not our man Murray. It’s hard to see past Djokovic these days but I reckon the women’s title could have seen a new winner in Barty.
