Rangers are looking to get another win under their belts this weekend in the Scottish Premiership but we’re going to have to do it without a key man.

St. Johnstone are up next this weekend at Ibrox, but the Gers will have to try and earn the three points – and get a clean sheet – without Allan McGregor.

Indeed, the goalkeeper has seen his ban upheld after an appeal from the Gers following on from a clash with Lewis Ferguson in the game with Aberdeen.

It was a pretty fiery match to say the least, and perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised that this was the verdict from the SFA.

Chris Sutton has had his say on the setback, then, and has proven typically punchy with his overview on the scenario: The correct decision on Mcgregor and fortunate for him it’s his first ban after some of his other antics this season … however Rangers management and fans will look at Power and Mcginn cases and wonder like the rest of us how can one can be banned and the others not…SFA ????

Whether or not you agree with his first statement, what he says about McGinn and Power is spot on, and it’s up to the SFA to try and iron out these inconsistencies.
