Rangers have broken their silence over the racial abuse directed at Alfredo Morelos during their defeat to Kilmarnock.

This is a great football club and a great town to live in with good people.

Video footage appeared to suggest Morelos had been called a 'black b******' during the first half of the 2-1 loss on Wednesday night.

Earlier this month, a 12-year-old boy was arrested in connection with racist abuse directed at Morelos during the win over Celtic at Parkhead.

The audio does appear to be inconclusive but fans are adamant the clip is clear evidence of racial abuse."

"My message is the football club doesn't need anyone with those thoughts.

We don't want anyone with that mentality around this football club.
