Rangers have fired back at Kilmarnock 's decision to cut their allocation of tickets for the final game of the season.

Steven Gerrard will take his Rangers team to Kilmarnock for the fourth time this season on the final day having played at Rugby Park twice in the cups as well as their league fixture.

Rangers fans would usually be housed in both the Moffat and Chadwick stands but on May 19 will receive only the latter.

The Rugby Park club have decided to give Rangers just one stand behind the goals compared to the two stands they normally receive.

Kilmarnock say they have cut the allocation to allow more of their own supporters in as a celebration of a successful season and as part of their 150th anniversary.

"After the game we're encouraging all Killie fans to stay in the stadium and watch one of the most memorable Killie teams in recent memory complete their traditional lap of honour complete with a few words from our manager Steve Clarke."

And major shareholder Billy Bowie said: "Kilmarnock FC is a family club and we want to make sure Rugby Park is an enjoyable and safe environment for people to enjoy watching football.
