Rangers Director of Football Mark Allen wants to hold discussions with Liverpool about Ryan Kent’s future, as reported by The Daily Record.

Still just 22 years of age, investing in Ryan Kent’s future would be something of a no-brainer in my books, if Liverpool could be convinced to let him leave for a fee in Rangers’ reach.

Kent has been one of the undoubted success stories of the season so far, shining in attack when fit and giving the Gers a unique threat cutting in from the flanks.

Hopefully we hear word of a potential permanent move in the coming months.

With his contract expiring in 2020, he is likely coming to the end of his time at Anfield, with the chances of breaking into their star-studded attack pretty slim.

As quoted by The Daily Record, Mark Allen said of the situation: We would certainly like to pursue what we do next with Ryan but that is a conversation we have to have with Liverpool.

No surprise then that the Gers are keen on making his loan switch from the Reds permanent.
