RANGERS under-18’s won their fourth league game in a row this evening as they defeated Hearts 2-0.

Rangers had a chance from a set piece after just 10 minutes as Matt Yates swung a ball into the box aiming for the run of Kyle McClelland at the back post but the ball was turned behind for a corner.

With five minutes to go Rangers almost had a third as Kane Ritchie-Hosler made ground into the box but his shot was saved by the feet of the keeper before Alex Lowry’s rebound was denied.

Matt Yates had an effort for Rangers early in the second half as he saw his right-footed free-kick go just wide of the target, before Ross McCausland had a shot saved by the visiting goalkeeper.

Rangers made a double change on the 56th minute as McCausland and Yates were replaced by Kane Ritchie-Hosler and Chris McKee.

Goals in either half from Ross McCausland and Alex Lowry saw the young Gers win at the Hummel Training Centre.

In added time, Kane Ritchie-Hosler done well to break into the Hearts half and cross to Chris McKee who touched his shot just wide from close range.
