Jim Goodwin reckons Steven Gerrard has a right to be angry with the SFA over the injury sustained by Ryan Jack on Scotland duty.

The Rangers boss let rip at the Scotland set-up on Thursday - accusing them of being "careless" with their treatment of the midfielder during the international double header with Russia and Belgium.

"Whatever training session Steve Clarke was to put on 48 hours after that game, Ryan Jack will be trying like a bear because he wants to get in that starting XI - he won't want to plod through the session.

Gerrard claims the injury was caused by Jack being asked to cover 11K in a double session just two days after he was involved in Rangers ' exhausting Old Firm derby defeat to Celtic.

"It's a shame because he has been a big, big player for Rangers and if they were to lose him for two or three weeks it would be a blow."

And then 48 hours afterwards, he did a double session."

"I'm pretty sure Steve Clarke and the SFA will have their opinion on it.
