That’s Rangers.

Steven Gerrard insists he would walk away as Rangers boss before throwing in the towel in the Scottish Premiership title race.

The Light Blues boss saw his side fall 10 points behind eight-in-a-row champions and bitter rivals Celtic following a 2-1 loss at Kilmarnoock on Wednesday.

Gerrard’s Gers have dropped eight points in just six league games since returning from the winter break after losing just five in 19 fixtures in the first half of the season.

The 39-year-old admitted the pressure is now on as he looks to avoid a second trophyless season in his first senior managerial job but is hungrier than ever to win the club’s first major trophy in nine years.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we go and give Braga a right good game over two legs and show everyone again that we are a good team but we have to accept where we are, take accountability for it and try and resurrect it.”

But with the midweek fixtures, where Celtic thumped Hearts 5-0 at Parkhead as Gers were going down to a last minute goal in Ayrshire, seen as pivotal in the title race Gerrard steadfastly refuses to give up.
