It looks like one of Steven Gerrard's children has inherited his dad's talent for football after finding the next at Ibrox on Saturday.

The elder Gerrard had been in action earlier in the afternoon, playing for both Liverpool and Rangers in a Legends match in which the Reds triumphed 3-2.

It capped a memorable afternoon for the Gerrard family after Steven played the first 75 minutes for Liverpool, before donning the blue of Rangers for the remainder of the match.

The Gers boss was unable to find the net for either side during the match, but his son Lio certainly made up for that after the game had finished.

Emile Heskey then restored Liverpool's two-goal finish with a delightful dink over keeper Neil Alexander, before Rangers icon Peter Lovrenkrands scored what proved to be the final goal of the game with 15 minutes left in the first half.

The match can at the end of an interesting few days for Gerrard, having been linked with the manager's job at Turkish club Besiktas.

Though the younger Gerrard stumbled to the ground just as he reached the 18-yard box, Lio soon got back to his feet before firing the ball into the net - much to the delight of those who remained in the ground to see the moment.
