CAMMY PALMER believes Rangers Reserves have shown they can perform under pressure after defeating Hibernian and Celtic to setup a tilt at the Reserve League title.

The comeback 3-2 win over Hibs last week set-up a chance for Gers to overtake the other half of the Old Firm today, and they did so with a deserved 2-0 win.

If we put those two performances in, then we will be well on our way to winning the league and that is the aim.”

Speaking to RangersTV, Palmer said: “Coming into the game, we knew we had to win, so we just said to ourselves to go for it and not hold back.

I think going into the second half, we were confident we were going to take something from the game which we did.” Wins over Hamilton and Falkirk in their final two matches will seal the title barring a swing in goal difference, and Palmer added: “It has to be more of the same from the last two games in terms of going out and playing as a team.

“We knew we could get through them, but it was just the final pass or the final shot.

I think everyone did that and I think we all performed as a team.
